DrowZe — Content Rights & Licensing

Effective date: 19 March 2026

Last updated: 19 March 2026

This document explains who owns what in DrowZe, what licences apply to third-party content in the app, and what rights you have as a user regarding your own data.

1. Application and software

The DrowZe application — its source code, compiled binaries, user interface design, navigation structure, animations, and all software components — is the proprietary intellectual property of Trevix Labs All rights reserved.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

2. Wind-down session content

2.1 Narration text

All narration scripts used in DrowZe's wind-down sessions — including "Post-night shift decompression," "Day-sleep preparation," and all other guided sessions — are original works written by Trevix Labs and are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt this content without written permission.

2.2 Narration audio

Narration audio files are generated using ElevenLabs text-to-speech technology under a commercial licence. The resulting audio files are the property of Trevix Labs.

3. Ambient soundscapes

All ambient soundscape audio files used in DrowZe are sourced from the following repositories under Creative Commons Zero (CC0) licences, meaning they are in the public domain and require no attribution. We provide attribution here as a matter of good practice:

CC0 soundscapes have been processed (normalised, looped, and converted to MP3) by Trevix Labs. The processed files are distributed as part of the App.

4. App icon and brand assets

The DrowZe name, the DrowZe arc logo (the coral circular arc with green centre and marker dot), and associated brand colours are trademarks of Trevix Labs. You may not use the DrowZe name or logo in any context without prior written permission, including:

  • Third-party app integrations or marketing materials that imply endorsement
  • Competing products or services
  • Modified versions that could create confusion about the source of the content

5. Typography and fonts

The DrowZe app uses the following typefaces:

  • Expo system fonts — licensed under the respective platform's SDK terms (Apple San Francisco for iOS)
  • Web/marketing site uses Playfair Display and DM Mono, both licensed under the SIL Open Font License (OFL), a free, perpetual licence that permits use, study, modification, and redistribution

6. Open source components
